Sometimes seeing things like this make my day! I bet more time was spent in hand-crafting this faceplate and junction box than to just lower the receptacle and repair the wall! This image (taken from the internet) shows a great example of putting more effort in doing the wrong thing! In the field, we see a ton of “hacked” and “modified” things. Some are pretty serious, while others are just down right comical, such as this one. This one gets the nod for the Home Inspection Dandy of the week!
