We Salute You, Mr. 64 Year Old Furnace!!

According to our memory here, the oldest furnace we have ever seen on an inspection was from 1967.  Well, this beauty has it beat! Big time!  1956!!  This grand old thing is still humming away, and in fact, the maintenance log sticker from six years ago says “very good shape – safeties working – good draft”!  Undoubtedly, this unit will have to eventually be replaced but we’d love to know how long it soldiers on for!
